These were certainly not needed the day I was there. Never the less they are a common feature of the upper Wairau valley in Marlborough. This was taken at Clos Henri or “Close Henry” as I’ve heard it pronouced.

Last year my favourite Chinese restaurant and Herne Bay institution The Empress Garden, closed it’s doors. Well it has re opened with same kitchen team and what appears to be the same menu. Fantastic! Review to follow.
